Yaseen
Ya Sin
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
2
وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡحَكِیمِ
Waalqurani alhakeemi
By the wise Qur'an
3
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ
Innaka lamina almursaleena
Lo! thou art of those sent
4
عَلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ
AAala siratin mustaqeemin
On a straight path
5
تَنزِیلَ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ
Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi
A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful
6
لِتُنذِرَ قَوۡمࣰا مَّاۤ أُنذِرَ ءَابَاۤؤُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ
Litunthira qawman ma onthira abaohum fahum ghafiloona
That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless
7
لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰۤ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ
Laqad haqqa alqawlu AAala aktharihim fahum la yuminoona
Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not
8
إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا فِیۤ أَعۡنَـٰقِهِمۡ أَغۡلَـٰلࣰا فَهِیَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَذۡقَانِ فَهُم مُّقۡمَحُونَ
Inna jaAAalna fee aAAnaqihim aghlalan fahiya ila alathqani fahum muqmahoona
Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked
9
وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۢ بَیۡنِ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ سَدࣰّا وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ سَدࣰّا فَأَغۡشَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُبۡصِرُونَ
WajaAAalna min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynahum fahum la yubsiroona
And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not
10
وَسَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تُنذِرۡهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ
Wasawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona
Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not
11
إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِیَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنَ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةࣲ وَأَجۡرࣲ كَرِیمٍ
Innama tunthiru mani ittabaAAa alththikra wakhashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareemin
Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward
12
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡیِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَكۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَیۡءٍ أَحۡصَیۡنَـٰهُ فِیۤ إِمَامࣲ مُّبِینࣲ
Inna nahnu nuhyee almawta wanaktubu ma qaddamoo waatharahum wakulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeenin
Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register)
13
وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡقَرۡیَةِ إِذۡ جَاۤءَهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
Waidrib lahum mathalan ashaba alqaryati ith jaaha almursaloona
Coin for them a similitude: The people of the city when those sent (from Allah) came unto them
14
إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِمُ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثࣲ فَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ إِلَیۡكُم مُّرۡسَلُونَ
Ith arsalna ilayhimu ithnayni fakaththaboohuma faAAazzazna bithalithin faqaloo inna ilaykum mursaloona
When We sent unto them twain, and they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: Lo! we have been sent unto you
15
قَالُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَمَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ مِن شَیۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا تَكۡذِبُونَ
Qaloo ma antum illa basharun mithluna wama anzala alrrahmanu min shayin in antum illa takthiboona
They said: Ye are but mortals like unto us. The Beneficent hath naught revealed. Ye do but lie
16
قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا یَعۡلَمُ إِنَّاۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡ لَمُرۡسَلُونَ
Qaloo rabbuna yaAAlamu inna ilaykum lamursaloona
They answered: Our Lord knoweth that we are indeed sent unto you
17
وَمَا عَلَیۡنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡبَلَـٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ
Wama AAalayna illa albalaghu almubeenu
And our duty is but plain conveyance (of the message)
18
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا تَطَیَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ وَلَیَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ
Qaloo inna tatayyarna bikum lain lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minna AAathabun aleemun
(The people of the city) said: We augur ill of you. If ye desist not, we shall surely stone you, and grievous torture will befall you at our hands
19
قَالُوا۟ طَـٰۤئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمۡ أَئِن ذُكِّرۡتُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّسۡرِفُونَ
Qaloo tairukum maAAakum ain thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona
They said: Your evil augury be with you! Is it because ye are reminded (of the truth)? Nay, but ye are froward folk
20
وَجَاۤءَ مِنۡ أَقۡصَا ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ رَجُلࣱ یَسۡعَىٰ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ
Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena
And there came from the uttermost part of the city a man running. He cried: O my people! Follow those who have been sent
21
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا یَسۡءَلُكُمۡ أَجۡرࣰا وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ
IttabiAAoo man la yasalukum ajran wahum muhtadoona
Follow those who ask of you no fee, and who are rightly guided
22
وَمَا لِیَ لَاۤ أَعۡبُدُ ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنِی وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ
Wama liya la aAAbudu allathee fataranee wailayhi turjaAAoona
For what cause should I not serve Him Who hath created me, and unto Whom ye will be brought back
23
ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ ءَالِهَةً إِن یُرِدۡنِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ بِضُرࣲّ لَّا تُغۡنِ عَنِّی شَفَـٰعَتُهُمۡ شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا یُنقِذُونِ
Aattakhithu min doonihi alihatan in yuridni alrrahmanu bidurrin la tughni AAannee shafaAAatuhum shayan wala yunqithooni
Shall I take (other) gods in place of Him when, if the Beneficent should wish me any harm, their intercession will avail me naught, nor can they save
24
إِنِّیۤ إِذࣰا لَّفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ
Innee ithan lafee dalalin mubeenin
Then truly I should be in error manifest
25
إِنِّیۤ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَٱسۡمَعُونِ
Innee amantu birabbikum faismaAAooni
Lo! I have believed in your Lord, so hear me
26
قِیلَ ٱدۡخُلِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَۖ قَالَ یَـٰلَیۡتَ قَوۡمِی یَعۡلَمُونَ
Qeela odkhuli aljannata qala ya layta qawmee yaAAlamoona
It was said (unto him): Enter paradise. He said: Would that my people knew
27
بِمَا غَفَرَ لِی رَبِّی وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِینَ
Bima ghafara lee rabbee wajaAAalanee mina almukrameena
With what (munificence) my Lord hath pardoned me and made me of the honoured ones
28
۞ وَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ مِن جُندࣲ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِینَ
Wama anzalna AAala qawmihi min baAAdihi min jundin mina alssamai wama kunna munzileena
We sent not down against his people after him a host from heaven, nor do We ever send
29
إِن كَانَتۡ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ خَـٰمِدُونَ
In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum khamidoona
It was but one Shout, and lo! they were extinct
30
یَـٰحَسۡرَةً عَلَى ٱلۡعِبَادِۚ مَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
Ya hasratan AAala alAAibadi ma yateehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzioona
Ah, the anguish for the bondmen! Never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him
31
أَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُونَ
Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them, which indeed returned not unto them
32
وَإِن كُلࣱّ لَّمَّا جَمِیعࣱ لَّدَیۡنَا مُحۡضَرُونَ
Wain kullun lamma jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona
But all, without exception, will be brought before Us
33
وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ ٱلۡمَیۡتَةُ أَحۡیَیۡنَـٰهَا وَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهَا حَبࣰّا فَمِنۡهُ یَأۡكُلُونَ
Waayatun lahumu alardu almaytatu ahyaynaha waakhrajna minha habban faminhu yakuloona
A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof
34
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا جَنَّـٰتࣲ مِّن نَّخِیلࣲ وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣲ وَفَجَّرۡنَا فِیهَا مِنَ ٱلۡعُیُونِ
WajaAAalna feeha jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin wafajjarna feeha mina alAAuyooni
And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein
35
لِیَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتۡهُ أَیۡدِیهِمۡۚ أَفَلَا یَشۡكُرُونَ
Liyakuloo min thamarihi wama AAamilathu aydeehim afala yashkuroona
That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks
36
سُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلۡأَزۡوَ ٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمِنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَمِمَّا لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ
Subhana allathee khalaqa alazwaja kullaha mimma tunbitu alardu wamin anfusihim wamimma la yaAAlamoona
Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not
37
وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّیۡلُ نَسۡلَخُ مِنۡهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظۡلِمُونَ
Waayatun lahumu allaylu naslakhu minhu alnnahara faitha hum muthlimoona
A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness
38
وَٱلشَّمۡسُ تَجۡرِی لِمُسۡتَقَرࣲّ لَّهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ تَقۡدِیرُ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡعَلِیمِ
Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin laha thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise
39
وَٱلۡقَمَرَ قَدَّرۡنَـٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلۡعُرۡجُونِ ٱلۡقَدِیمِ
Waalqamara qaddarnahu manazila hatta AAada kaalAAurjooni alqadeemi
And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf
40
لَا ٱلشَّمۡسُ یَنۢبَغِی لَهَاۤ أَن تُدۡرِكَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّیۡلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِۚ وَكُلࣱّ فِی فَلَكࣲ یَسۡبَحُونَ
La alshshamsu yanbaghee laha an tudrika alqamara wala allaylu sabiqu alnnahari wakullun fee falakin yasbahoona
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit
41
وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمۡ أَنَّا حَمَلۡنَا ذُرِّیَّتَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ
Waayatun lahum anna hamalna thurriyyatahum fee alfulki almashhooni
And a token unto them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship
42
وَخَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثۡلِهِۦ مَا یَرۡكَبُونَ
Wakhalaqna lahum min mithlihi ma yarkaboona
And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride
43
وَإِن نَّشَأۡ نُغۡرِقۡهُمۡ فَلَا صَرِیخَ لَهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنقَذُونَ
Wain nasha nughriqhum fala sareekha lahum wala hum yunqathoona
And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved
44
إِلَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِینࣲ
Illa rahmatan minna wamataAAan ila heenin
Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while
45
وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیكُمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ
Waitha qeela lahumu ittaqoo ma bayna aydeekum wama khalfakum laAAallakum turhamoona
When it is said unto them: Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy (they are heedless)
46
وَمَا تَأۡتِیهِم مِّنۡ ءَایَةࣲ مِّنۡ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ
Wama tateehim min ayatin min ayati rabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideena
Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it
47
وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمۡ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَنُطۡعِمُ مَن لَّوۡ یَشَاۤءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطۡعَمَهُۥۤ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ
Waitha qeela lahum anfiqoo mimma razaqakumu Allahu qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo anutAAimu man law yashao Allahu atAAamahu in antum illa fee dalalin mubeenin
And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest
48
وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ
Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena
And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful
49
مَا یَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ تَأۡخُذُهُمۡ وَهُمۡ یَخِصِّمُونَ
Ma yanthuroona illa sayhatan wahidatan takhuthuhum wahum yakhissimoona
They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing
50
فَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ تَوۡصِیَةࣰ وَلَاۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِهِمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ
Fala yastateeAAoona tawsiyatan wala ila ahlihim yarjiAAoona
Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk
51
وَنُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ یَنسِلُونَ
Wanufikha fee alssoori faitha hum mina alajdathi ila rabbihim yansiloona
And the trumpet is blown and lo! from the graves they hie unto their Lord
52
قَالُوا۟ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرۡقَدِنَاۜۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
Qaloo ya waylana man baAAathana min marqadina hatha ma waAAada alrrahmanu wasadaqa almursaloona
Crying: Woe upon us! Who hath raised us from our place of sleep? This is that which the Beneficent did promise, and the messengers spoke truth
53
إِن كَانَتۡ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ جَمِیعࣱ لَّدَیۡنَا مُحۡضَرُونَ
In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona
It is but one Shout, and behold them brought together before Us
54
فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ لَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
Faalyawma la tuthlamu nafsun shayan wala tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona
This day no soul is wronged in aught; nor are ye requited aught save what ye used to do
55
إِنَّ أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ فِی شُغُلࣲ فَـٰكِهُونَ
Inna ashaba aljannati alyawma fee shughulin fakihoona
Lo! those who merit paradise this day are happily employed
56
هُمۡ وَأَزۡوَ ٰجُهُمۡ فِی ظِلَـٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤئِكِ مُتَّكِءُونَ
Hum waazwajuhum fee thilalin AAala alaraiki muttakioona
They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining
57
لَهُمۡ فِیهَا فَـٰكِهَةࣱ وَلَهُم مَّا یَدَّعُونَ
Lahum feeha fakihatun walahum ma yaddaAAoona
Theirs the fruit (of their good deeds) and theirs (all) that they ask
58
سَلَـٰمࣱ قَوۡلࣰا مِّن رَّبࣲّ رَّحِیمࣲ
Salamun qawlan min rabbin raheemin
The word from a Merciful Lord (for them) is: Peace
59
وَٱمۡتَـٰزُوا۟ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
Waimtazoo alyawma ayyuha almujrimoona
But avaunt ye, O ye guilty, this day
60
۞ أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَیۡكُمۡ یَـٰبَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ مُّبِینࣱ
Alam aAAhad ilaykum ya banee adama an la taAAbudoo alshshaytana innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun
Did I not charge you, O ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil - Lo! he is your open foe
61
وَأَنِ ٱعۡبُدُونِیۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطࣱ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣱ
Waani oAAbudoonee hatha siratun mustaqeemun
But that ye worship Me? That was the right path
62
وَلَقَدۡ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمۡ جِبِلࣰّا كَثِیرًاۖ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعۡقِلُونَ
Walaqad adalla minkum jibillan katheeran afalam takoonoo taAAqiloona
Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense
63
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِی كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ
Hathihi jahannamu allatee kuntum tooAAadoona
This is hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him)
64
ٱصۡلَوۡهَا ٱلۡیَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
Islawha alyawma bima kuntum takfuroona
Burn therein this day for that ye disbelieved
65
ٱلۡیَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلَىٰۤ أَفۡوَ ٰهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَاۤ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ أَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ
Alyawma nakhtimu AAala afwahihim watukallimuna aydeehim watashhadu arjuluhum bima kanoo yaksiboona
This day We seal up their mouths, and their hands speak out to Us and their feet bear witness as to what they used to earn
66
وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَطَمَسۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡیُنِهِمۡ فَٱسۡتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَ ٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ یُبۡصِرُونَ
Walaw nashao latamasna AAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssirata faanna yubsiroona
And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the way. Then how could they have seen
67
وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَمَسَخۡنَـٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مُضِیࣰّا وَلَا یَرۡجِعُونَ
Walaw nashao lamasakhnahum AAala makanatihim fama istataAAoo mudiyyan wala yarjiAAoona
And had We willed, We verily could have fixed them in their place, making them powerless to go forward or turn back
68
وَمَن نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُنَكِّسۡهُ فِی ٱلۡخَلۡقِۚ أَفَلَا یَعۡقِلُونَ
Waman nuAAammirhu nunakkishu fee alkhalqi afala yaAAqiloona
He whom we bring unto old age, We reverse him in creation (making him go back to weakness after strength). Have ye then no sense
69
وَمَا عَلَّمۡنَـٰهُ ٱلشِّعۡرَ وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لَهُۥۤۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ وَقُرۡءَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ
Wama AAallamnahu alshshiAAra wama yanbaghee lahu in huwa illa thikrun waquranun mubeenun
And We have not taught him (Muhammad) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is naught else than a Reminder and a Lecture making plain
70
لِّیُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَیࣰّا وَیَحِقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ
Liyunthira man kana hayyan wayahiqqa alqawlu AAala alkafireena
To warn whosoever liveth, and that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers
71
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتۡ أَیۡدِینَاۤ أَنۡعَـٰمࣰا فَهُمۡ لَهَا مَـٰلِكُونَ
Awalam yaraw anna khalaqna lahum mimma AAamilat aydeena anAAaman fahum laha malikoona
Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners
72
وَذَلَّلۡنَـٰهَا لَهُمۡ فَمِنۡهَا رَكُوبُهُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا یَأۡكُلُونَ
Wathallalnaha lahum faminha rakoobuhum waminha yakuloona
And have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding, some for food
73
وَلَهُمۡ فِیهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُۚ أَفَلَا یَشۡكُرُونَ
Walahum feeha manafiAAu wamasharibu afala yashkuroona
Benefits and (divers) drinks have they from them. Will they not then give thanks
74
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةࣰ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یُنصَرُونَ
Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan laAAallahum yunsaroona
And they have taken (other) gods beside Allah, in order that they may be helped
75
لَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ نَصۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُندࣱ مُّحۡضَرُونَ
La yastateeAAoona nasrahum wahum lahum jundun muhdaroona
It is not in their power to help them; but they (the worshippers) are unto them a host in arms
76
فَلَا یَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ إِنَّا نَعۡلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّونَ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَ
Fala yahzunka qawluhum inna naAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona
So let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! We know what they conceal and what proclaim
77
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةࣲ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِیمࣱ مُّبِینࣱ
Awalam yara alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min nutfatin faitha huwa khaseemun mubeenun
Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent
78
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلࣰا وَنَسِیَ خَلۡقَهُۥۖ قَالَ مَن یُحۡیِ ٱلۡعِظَـٰمَ وَهِیَ رَمِیمࣱ
Wadaraba lana mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qala man yuhyee alAAithama wahiya rameemun
And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away
79
قُلۡ یُحۡیِیهَا ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنشَأَهَاۤ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةࣲۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلۡقٍ عَلِیمٌ
Qul yuhyeeha allathee anshaaha awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin AAaleemun
Say: He will revive them Who produced them at the first, for He is Knower of every creation
80
ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلۡأَخۡضَرِ نَارࣰا فَإِذَاۤ أَنتُم مِّنۡهُ تُوقِدُونَ
Allathee jaAAala lakum mina alshshajari alakhdari naran faitha antum minhu tooqidoona
Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it
81
أَوَ لَیۡسَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُمۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ
Awalaysa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda biqadirin AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum bala wahuwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu
Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Aye, that He is! for He is the All-Wise Creator
82
إِنَّمَاۤ أَمۡرُهُۥۤ إِذَاۤ أَرَادَ شَیۡءًا أَن یَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَیَكُونُ
Innama amruhu itha arada shayan an yaqoola lahu kun fayakoonu
But His command, when He intendeth a thing, is only that He saith unto it: Be! and it is
83
فَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِی بِیَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ
Fasubhana allathee biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wailayhi turjaAAoona
Therefor Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion over all things! Unto Him ye will be brought back
