1
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَـٰتِ عُرۡفࣰا
Waalmursalati AAurfan
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
2
فَٱلۡعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصۡفࣰا
FaalAAasifati AAasfan
By the raging hurricanes
3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَ ٰتِ نَشۡرࣰا
Waalnnashirati nashran
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive
4
فَٱلۡفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرۡقࣰا
Faalfariqati farqan
By those who winnow with a winnowing
5
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِیَـٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
Faalmulqiyati thikran
By those who bring down the Reminder
6
عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
AAuthran aw nuthran
To excuse or to warn
7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ
Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun
Surely that which ye are promised will befall
8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
Faitha alnnujoomu tumisat
So when the stars are put out
9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ فُرِجَتۡ
Waitha alssamao furijat
And when the sky is riven asunder
10
وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
Waitha aljibalu nusifat
And when the mountains are blown away
11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
Waitha alrrusulu oqqitat
And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed
12
لِأَیِّ یَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
Liayyi yawmin ojjilat
For what day is the time appointed
13
لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
Liyawmi alfasli
For the Day of Decision
14
وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا یَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli
And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is
15
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
16
أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ
Alam nuhliki alawwaleena
Destroyed We not the former folk
17
ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ
Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireena
Then caused the latter folk to follow after
18
كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ
Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena
Thus deal We ever with the guilty
19
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
20
أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاۤءࣲ مَّهِینࣲ
Alam nakhluqkum min main maheenin
Did We not create you from a base fluid
21
فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ فِی قَرَارࣲ مَّكِینٍ
FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin
Which We laid up in a safe abode
22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ
Ila qadarin maAAloomin
For a known term
23
فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَـٰدِرُونَ
Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona
Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging
24
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
25
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا
Alam najAAali alarda kifatan
Have We not made the earth a receptacle
26
أَحۡیَاۤءࣰ وَأَمۡوَ ٰتࣰا
Ahyaan waamwatan
Both for the living and the dead
27
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُم مَّاۤءࣰ فُرَاتࣰا
WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan
And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein
28
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
29
ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
(It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny
30
ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِی ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبࣲ
Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin
Depart unto the shadow falling threefold
31
لَّا ظَلِیلࣲ وَلَا یُغۡنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi
(Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame
32
إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِی بِشَرَرࣲ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri
Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles
33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتࣱ صُفۡرࣱ
Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun
(Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue
34
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
35
هَـٰذَا یَوۡمُ لَا یَنطِقُونَ
Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona
This is a day wherein they speak not
36
وَلَا یُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَیَعۡتَذِرُونَ
Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona
Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses
37
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
38
هَـٰذَا یَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ
Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleena
This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together
39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَیۡدࣱ فَكِیدُونِ
Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni
If now ye have any wit, outwit Me
40
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
41
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی ظِلَـٰلࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ
Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin
Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains
42
وَفَوَ ٰكِهَ مِمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ
Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona
And fruits such as they desire
43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشۡرَبُوا۟ هَنِیۤءَۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona
(Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did
44
إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ
Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
Thus do We reward the good
45
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِیلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ
Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty
47
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
48
وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُوا۟ لَا یَرۡكَعُونَ
Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona
When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down
49
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe unto the repudiators on that day
50
فَبِأَیِّ حَدِیثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ یُؤۡمِنُونَ
Fabiayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yuminoona
In what statement, after this, will they believe
